Where have all the sparrows gone?

Sparrows can't sing (story, stage play & musical film)

<p>"Sparrows Can't Sing" is a stage-play and musical that was made into a 1963 British film. Based on a 1960 play, Sparrers Can't Sing, the film was directed by Joan Littlewood, and adapted from an original story by Stephen Lewis. The sparrow used to be common in the East End of London, and people from the area became affectionately known as Cockney Sparrows (or 'sparrers' as it was pronounced locally)</p>
